TATTOO ARTIST / CREATOR OF DEATHLESS CORDS: SHAUN CHRISTOPHER Updated: 08-08-2013 Over the past 13 years as a tattoo artist, I grew tired of working with less-than-quality equipment for no other reason than it was the only thing available. About 6 years ago I started building my own machines and reinforcing the electronics on my equipment. Once I realized the incredible strength of the cords that I was making, I built a few for my co-workers and friends. Everyone that I have worked with, from Baltimore to Los Angeles to San Francisco, have asked me to build them a custom cord system so that they could run the same equipment. After years of running the same cord with no issues, I realized that I had a good thing going and decided that I needed to bring DEATHLESS Cords to life and present it to the public. Rather than using practically disposable clip cords, there is now a nearly indestructible alternative at an incredibly reasonable price. The average tattoo artist will spend $50-$300+ per year on clipcords and footswitches. With DEATHLESS Cords, the life span is more than 6 years and counting. All products are hand made here in the US by me personally, and are reinforced with 3500psi epoxy and military grade kevlar/neoprene heat shrink.

What makes DEATHLESS Cords a revolutionary cord system?

Standard clipcords and Rca cords use silicone wire or speaker wire. This wire is designed to be connected to the back of a speaker and tucked away. It is not designed for continuous movement. It is a straight wire construction which, in itself, is more vulnerable. The pull strength is minimal and it often breaks after repeated flexing. With DEATHLESS CORDS, we construct all of our cords with high quality instrument cable. Not only is the amount of copper wire multiplied, the construction of the cable is entirely different. Internal insulated wires are surrounded by long strands of fiber that increase the pull-strength of the cable exponentially. Hundreds of copper wires are woven in a tightly braided pattern around the core. Imagine the workings of a chinese finger trap. Voltage flow is increased and you will more than likely run your power supply a bit lower than normal since there is zero power leakage and zero electrostatic interference. This instrument cable is designed to be thrashed around on stage repeatedly by performing artists — stomped, smashed, pulled and bent in any direction. We also offer a light-weight version constructed of miniature instrument cable. *NEW DESIGN. Our cords and adapters are the first and only to use a full size cable on either side of the spring head. By not splitting the cord material (like all other companies) and utilizing 4x the amount of wire at all connection points, ours are, by far, the strongest on the market.

The footswitch

The DEATHLESS Cords footswitch is produced with the same technology as the near indestructible clip cords. The foot switch cord has identical internal components to our clip cords and attaches to a standard Linemaster GEM footswitch that is known for it's quality throughout the tattoo industry. The footswitch is permanently fixed to a heavy duty monophone plug. DEATHLESS Cords are crush proof, moisture resistant and withstand a 250lb strength test. All cords come with the option of silver, gold, black/gold or silver/gold plated end pieces and in a variety of colors and styles.
